Referral & Coordination

For Clinicians

Dr. Williams is a board-certified psychiatrist in Atlanta who works closely with referring physicians and therapists
to provide thoughtful, collaborative psychiatric care.

Dr. Williams values ongoing relationships with referring clinicians and aims to make collaboration straightforward.

Many referrals come from therapists, or from primary care and specialty physicians, seeking careful evaluation and thoughtful medication management for their patients and clients.

"Her role is to support your work, not replace it. Care is collaborative, with attention to continuity and alignment over time."

Practice structure

This is a solo practice. There are no intermediaries. All communication and care is provided directly by Dr. Williams.

Working with therapists

Many of her patients are also in therapy. When that's the case, she steps in to support, not displace, the therapeutic relationship already in place.

Approach to medication

Medication is used carefully, and only when it adds clear value. She aims to support the therapeutic process without overriding it, and to avoid unnecessary complexity whenever possible.

Communication

With patient consent, Dr. Williams is happy to coordinate care and share updates as needed. Communication is direct, concise, and focused on what's clinically useful.

Referral process

Please direct your patient or client to begin with the brief questionnaire so Dr. Williams can understand their situation before scheduling. If it seems like a good fit, she will follow up directly with next steps.

When referral may be helpful

  • Diagnostic clarification
  • Medication evaluation or adjustment
